I'm having trouble dragging the BudURL.Pro bookmarklet to my toolbar. What am I doing wrong?
Some versions of Internet Explorer appear to have issues with dragging the bookmarklet to the tool bar. Here is one way we got it to work on those versions. Right-click and choose "Add To Favorites" then "Create in" folder "Links".

How do I see how many clicks I am receiving on each BudURL.Pro?
Simply add a "/m" to the end of your Ez link. Example: BudURL.Pro = http://BudURL.Pro/b5qs To get a click-count, use http://BudURL.Pro/b5qs/m
Are there any other stats besides the number of clicks?
Yes, there are 'Premium Click Stats'. The Premium Click Stats Report shows you the timestamp, referrer, IP address, keywords used, and the total/unique clicks for the amount allowed in your account. Graphs plot these clicks for total clicks and referrers.
Why BudURL.Pro and not another service?
Most of the other services either provide just simple click counts or they are more of a social site like Digg. What they lack is the goal of providing real click intelligence that small businesses need.
Why create an Account?

With the toolbar link, new Ez links you create will be added to your personal account. Additional statistics are available also with a personal account. Register now!

Yes, you can delete an Ez link when editing the link. Note: BudURL.Pro Admins will only delete an Ez link if it violates the Terms of Use.

Yes! Just add a question mark (?) to the end of any Ez link and you'll be taken to a page that shows you the destination URL.
Is BudURL.Pro just for social networks?
Not at all! While BudURL.Pro works fantastic in social networking environments, many people use it in sales (to see when prospects click links), in advertising (to measure performance of direct mail), in their mobile and iPhone applications, in email signatures, profile links on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc., and a number of other ways.
Does BudURL.Pro offer a white label service so that I can use my website name with the BudURL.Pro service?
Yes! Most of our accounts allow you to have your own custom domain name. Some of our plans allow you to have multiple domains per account.
How do I choose between a 301 Permanent Redirect vs a 307 Temporary Redirect?
It really comes down to your needs. The perception is that 301 redirects are better for SEO and Page Rank. If this is a huge concern for you, then choose 301 redirects for your Ez links in your registered account. By 'permanent' Google for example expects that your destination URL will never change so it may cache this URL. Also, proxy and caching servers may also cache the destination URL which may not give you accurate click counts. If you expect to change your URL periodically and SEO is not a big concern, then 307 Temporary Redirects may be the way to go. A good case for 307 redirects is if for example you have an Ez link such as BudURL.Pro/contest and you plan on changing the URL every month. For more accurate click tracking, you can use 307 Redirects on places with low/no SEO, such as Twitter, emails, any sites that require login, or links on social networking profile pages.
Is BudURL.Pro the same as BudURL.com?
It is true that BudURL.Pro was born from the same code as BudURL.com, however a lot of changes and refinement to the architecture occurred during the process. We also added in several features around custom and multiple domain names, multiple users per account, and changes to the performance of the service. The two products have similar, but different target markets and will continue to evolve separately based on the needs of each service.
